Sydney Easter Show || Blogster

I haven’t been to the Easter show for over 5 years now so oh my god I was keen to go this year. I went with my sister last Thursday and we honestly had so much fun!

If you go, you have to be prepared to spend a bit of money but it is sooo worth it, especially if you haven’t been for a few years!

We started off in the food hall where there were some really cool stands, one of my favourites being a delicious macaron shop – I love macarons and these ones were exceptional. Everyone in the food hall is handing out free samples so we tried beef jerky, liquorice, pasta, fudge, fresh fruit, meat, cheese etc… we ate way too much and also spent too much money!

Next we wandered around to all the different animal pavilions and watched some of the events as well. Although I own and have grown up around farm animals, I still got so excited, especially in the petting zoo. I think this is one of the best parts of the show, especially for younger kids who haven’t grown up around animals. The show jumping was definitely my favourite event, although I wish we had have had time to see the trick riding because I’m sure that would have been up there!

On our way to find lunch, we walked past an archery game and of course I had to have a go – it is on my list of things to do this year – and I have to say, I wasn’t too bad at it. It took me about 10 minutes to figure out how to actually do it but once I got there, I was actually hitting the target, which I thought was quite impressive.

Throughout the day we ate soooo much food and I definitely did not stick to my healthy eating… but one cheat day won’t hurt…right? I got a massive stick of fairy floss, because seriously, they look amazing, how could I not buy one?

We also bought a Hot Cross Bun with Gelato from Gelato Messina and whilst I loved the idea, it wasn’t my favourite. I definitely don’t think that’s a combo that works. But it definitely still looked cool… and that’s obviously what really matters.

The next and final treat was cheese cake on a stick and it tasted amazing and it was a much needed energy hit after walking around for over 6 hours.

Just before we left, we went to see all the artworks and photography and, honestly, it’s made me really love art. When I own my own place, I would love to spend the money on some amazing artworks like the ones at the show – they were incredible!
